Earl grey tea is definitely my favorite black tea, hands down. I love getting an earl grey latte at my local coffee shop with just a little vanilla flavoring added (also called a London Fog).

My husband and I took a trip to Seattle last fall. With the cold temps, we made sure to check out some of the local coffee shops. So naturally when I saw the “London Smog” drink at several different coffee shops, I had to try that out. To make the “smog”, they add in a shot of espresso to the traditional London Fog drink which gives it that dirty look. Needless to say it was pretty damn good!

I probably didn’t need that extra shot of espresso because earl grey tea alone has about 30mg of caffeine for 1 cup. Compare that to 1 cup of brewed coffee which has 95mg per cup. So if you need that little extra pep in your step in the morning, these overnight oats will be sure to help with that.

This earl grey and blueberry overnight oats recipe would not be complete without a little added flavor from the vanilla and honey. Add in the natural sweetness from the fresh blueberries and you have an amazing flavor combination.

I find the best way to make sure the honey and vanilla are evenly distributed throughout the overnight oats is by whisking it. Seriously…how adorable is this mini whisk???
